Keyless shaft-hub locking devices are not new technology, but Miki Pulley has developed and enhanced the Posi-Lock design and method of manufacture to deliver a superior locking device at low cost. 

To install, simply slide the Posi-Lock over the shaft, and slip the sprocket or pulley onto the Posi-Lock body.  When the screws are tightened, two opposing wedge structures are compressed into each other, creating a slight interference fit. 

Using a shaft locking device in lieu of a keyway has many benefits, including: less machine time, easy install and disassembly, even radial surface pressure, and higher torque value.

PSL-K model

PSL-K model:
The PSL-K is a positive locking device for holding a hub onto a shaft. This model is flanged, which better exposes the compression screws.

  • Hole diameter range: 0.236” – 1.654” (6mm – 42mm)
  • Max allowable torque: 553.17 ft-lbs (750 Nm)
  • Max permissible axial stress: 26552.24 ft-lbs (36000 Nm)

PSL-G model

PSL-G model:
The PSL-G model is not flanged, therefore it is recessed within the hub. This saves space and allows for easy install and disassembly.

  • Hole diameter range: 0.236” – 1.654” (6mm – 42mm)
  • Max allowable torque: 553.17 ft-lbs (750 Nm)
  • Max permissible axial stress: 26552.24 ft-lbs (36000 Nm)
