The BXR brake is designed with a low profile, to minimize its size envelope and weight to optimize your design. Known as a ‘spring-applied brake’, it uses internal compression springs to halt and hold the rotor disc when the stator coil is de-energized. This function is known as ‘power-off engaged’, and is ideal for machine safety features. This includes robotics, and servo drives on Z-axis ball-screws. The brake will engage to stop and hold movement on command or if there is a power failure.
